 Directorate of school education (DESK) has sent a show cause notices to 7 CEOs for delaying in submission of seniority list.


Seven Chief education officers have not submitted the files and other relevant documents after a number of reminders which has created hurdles in the execution of official work in the Directorate.
Srinagar July 6: Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) issued show cause notices Chief Education Officers (CEOs) of Baramulla, Shopian, Srinagar, Ganderbal and Kupwara, of Kashmir Division for delay in submission of seniority list and other files of the employees .According to official sources  all these  Directorates have failed to submit the required information after a number  of reminders.


DSEK has said that a communication was issued on March 28, 2024 followed by a series of reminders where in they were asked to submit the final and updated seniority list of teachers with relevant certificates and masters. Provide in prescribed format with blank space. The CEOS were asked  to send files of teachers for promotions like promotion of teachers to masters and other time bound promotions
However, till date these the above mentioned CEOs have not submitted the files and other relevant documents yet and  due to which the official work of the directorate has halted.
While issuing the meeting notice for having the meeting of the Divisional Departmental Promotion Committee on June 24, 2024, it is informed that the above should be placed before the Committee on or before June 29, 2024. be submitted".


Desk has told that  directorate has  issued two more reminders to these CEOs on July 1 and July 4, 2024.
But again these CEO has failed to submit complete information to this directorate.In pursuance to the meeting notice issued on 24th June 2024, a preliminary meeting of the Divisional Departmental Promotion Committee was held on 6th June 2024 in the office chamber of Director School Education, Kashmir and information was repeatedly sought but the concerned CEOs Could not be presented before the committee .
Due to the irrational behavior of the concerned CEOs, the process may get delayed an official said.

According to the communication, the Divisional Departmental Promotion Committee has expressed its big concern over the laziness of these CEOS as many trained graduates and post graduates have been waiting for a long time for their promotions
The issue has resulted in demoralization of the whole teaching community especially those who are waiting for their promotions. In view of the above, you are hereby directed to show reasons why disciplinary action under the Rules shall not be started against you for non-submission of required information.
All the CEOs have been directed to submit their response within five days. "Your reply shall reach the Directorate within a period of five days, failing which it shall be deemed that you have nothing to say in your defence, and action shall be taken against you as per rules.""
