 Mumbai has been experiencing heavy rains during July 2024, with several incidents of waterlogging, transport disruptions, and flooding. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued several warnings including for very heavy rainfall in the  region and nearby areas such as Raigad and Palghar.

water has accumulated in various parts of the city due to heavy rains affecting daily life and transport services. Local train services have been disrupted, as a result of which the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) has deployed additional buses to minimize the impact on commuters.  Additionally, a number of trains have been canceled or diverted due to bad weather conditions. Authorities have taken measures to ensure public safety, including closing of  schools and colleges, and postponing exams. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has been deployed in various districts for relief operations and dealing with the flood situation.
